News: Police investigate hit-and-run after woman pushed from moving vehicle in Etobicoke

TORONTO, ON – Toronto police are probing a complex incident in Etobicoke involving a suspected hit-and-run driver in the Etobicoke area on Wednesday evening.

According to CTV News, reports of a hit-and-run in the area of Humber College Boulevard and Highway 27 came in at about 5:30 p.m.

Witnesses told police they saw a woman being pushed out of a moving sedan. She was transported to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

While attempting to flee the scene, the driver collided with several police cruisers near Albion Road and Highway 27. He was taken into custody shortly after and charged with numerous dangerous driving offenses.

Investigators are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage for further information.
