News: Pedestrian seriously hurt in Mississauga hit-and-run

MISSISSAUGA, ON – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run that took place in Mississauga’s East Credit district Tuesday.

This hit-and-run was reported just before 3 p.m. and took place at the intersection of Bristol Road West and Loon Lake Avenue, according to Peel Regional Police

EMS crews were also summoned to the crash site and rushed the pedestrian to a trauma centre for treatment. Officers shut down Bristol Road West along Fallingbrook Drive and Terry Fox Way to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation period. Commuters were asked to pursue alternative routes during these closures.

Police are working to find out what the suspect looked like and what kind of vehicle they drove. Officers advise the public to contact the police department immediately if they have any more information regarding Tuesday’s hit-and-run.
