News: OPP responds to crash on Hwy 401 offramp in Scarborough

TORONTO, ON – A vehicle accident late last Thursday, May 16, closed a Highway 401 exit ramp in northeast Toronto, according to OPP GTA Traffic.

The collision took place on the offramp from the westbound lanes to Kennedy Road, near Glamorgan Park in the city’s Scarborough district. It was first reported shortly after midnight into the next morning, some time after officials had already arrived on the scene.

No information regarding the cause or nature of the wreck was immediately provided, but the exit ramp remained blocked for over an hour, suggesting a more involved emergency response.

By 1:13 a.m., all travel lanes were reopened to traffic.
