News: Crews respond to crash on eastbound QEW in Hamilton

HAMILTON, ON — A collision caused heavy delays Wednesday morning on Queen Elizabeth Way heading toward Toronto from Hamilton, according to Trafficnet.ca.

Authorities were dispatched to the scene on the eastbound lanes of QEW at the Red Hill Valley Parkway, in Hamilton’s Confederation Park A area. The accident was first recorded at 7:32 a.m.

While no details about the events leading up to the accident have been provided, the crash came after two other traffic incidents on QEW near Mississuaga had recently been cleared. The area was experiencing foggy weather conditions at the time.

The crash had the left lane blocked, which led to major delays down to Fruitland Road.

It’s unclear whether anyone suffered injuries and/or had to be taken to a hospital.
